Website Maintenance and Domain Support (Contract Staff)

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Personnel to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining client websites, troubleshooting issues related to domain emails, hosting, and domains. This role involves regular interaction with hosting and domain support teams to ensure seamless operations for our clients’ websites.
Key Responsibilities:

Website Maintenance

  • Regularly update and maintain client websites to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Perform routine checks and updates on website plugins, themes, and content management systems.
  • Implement website enhancements and improvements as required.

 

Troubleshooting

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to website performance, functionality, and security.
  • Address and resolve issues with domain emails, including configuration and connectivity problems.
  • Handle website downtime and other critical issues promptly to minimize impact on clients.

 

Domain and Hosting Management

  • Manage domain registrations, renewals, and transfers for client websites.
  • Configure and manage DNS settings to ensure proper website functionality.
  • Monitor hosting environments to ensure optimal performance and uptime.

 

Support Coordination

  • Act as a liaison between clients and hosting/domain support teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Coordinate with third-party support teams for advanced troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Maintain detailed records of support interactions and resolutions.

 

Client Communication

  • Provide timely and clear communication to clients regarding technical issues and resolutions.
  • Offer technical guidance and support to clients on best practices for website management.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in website maintenance and technical support.
  • Strong understanding of domain management, DNS configuration, and hosting environments.
  • Proficiency in content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Joomla) and website development tools.
  • Experience with email configuration and troubleshooting (e.g., SMTP, IMAP, POP3).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant certifications in web development, network administration, or related fields.
  • Experience working with various hosting providers and domain registrars.
  • Familiarity with web security best practices and tools.
